Bashir Receives Congratulations from Arab Heads of State and Government

Khartoum (SUDANOW) - President -elect Omar al-Bashir has received congratulatory calls and cables from a number of kings and heads of state on the occasion of his election victory.
The president received a phone call from Egyptian president Abdul Fatah Sisi and from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulla Abdul Aziz and from his royal highness Prince Mohamed Bin Salman the Minister for Defense in Saudi Arabia.
The president elect also received a phone call from Ethiopian Prime Minister Haile Mariam Desalgn.
The President Elect also received a congratulatory cable from the Emir of Qatar HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, and from HH Sheikh Abdulla Bin Hamad Al Thani Deputy Emir of Qatar and from H.E Sheikh Abdulla Bin Nassir Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Qatar.
He also received a congratulatory cable from the King of Jordan His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein.
The press secretary of the President Elect, Mohamed Hatim Suleiman, said the Arab leaders have congratulated the president elect on his victory wishing him success in his new presidential term.
He said President elect Bashir has expressed his thanks and his appreciation for the calls and cables of congratulation, wishing further strengthening of relations between the Sudan and these countries.
