This is the second time in two months Sudan’s national flag is raised in this contest after two other Sudanese kids with down syndrome had won silver and bronze medals in the previous challenge contest in Italy.
Ebtihaj Mohamed Ohaj, director of the Sudan Center for Persons with Down Syndrome said “in the first contest in Italy, Sudan was represented by three players, winning the second, third and fourth rank.
Contenders in the Italy championship beside Mohamed Derar were Alsir Hafiz and Abdallah Alhadi.”
