First International Award In Fine Arts

KHARTOUM (Sudanow) - Sudan has won the first award in fine arts competition and second award in music competition at the third round of the International Art Forum for People with Special Needs recently held in Cairo, Egypt.
Winning paintings were contributed by artist Amal Al-Rifa’aei. Some 35 countries have participated in the competition including China, Georgia, Denmark, Morocco, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
Amal Al-Rifa’aei graduated in the College of Education, Art Section, at Sudan University for Sciences and Technology. She holds a number of professional certificates in computer designing, TV photography and art craft.
Amal participated in Cairo competition as representative of Al-Farouq Centre. It is noteworthy that this centre has won a number of awards in international competitions during the last three years.
Artist Amal also works as secretary for the National Deaf Association of Sudan and she also works as graphic designer for some newspapers and publishing houses as well as private school teacher.
