Dinder National Park

Dinder National Park, one of several open parks in the Sudan, is still surviving and animals are believed to be returning back to the region from which several years of conflict and sounds of fire arms drove the sleek impala, the lions, the giraffes and the wild buffalos into neighboring countries.

Locals and experts believe that with the return of peace and calms and the silenced of the sounds of firearms, coupled with strict application of the environment and wildlife preservation laws, the park will once again draw hordes of animals but troupes of tourists. A short tour in park last Thursday showed games, including the shy mighty king, are still in the bush.
