University of Khartoum Tops Sudanese Universities Ranking and Advances in Webometrics Global Ranking
27 July, 2025
The University of Khartoum has topped Sudanese universities in terms of research excellence, openness, academic performance, and global presence, according to the Webometrics ranking for the second half of 2025, issued by the Spanish National Research Council. The evaluation aims to improve the online presence of higher education and research institutions and encourage the publication of peer-reviewed scientific journals and research.
Notably, despite the war and exceptional circumstances, the University of Khartoum, under the leadership of its top management, including Professor Emad El-Din Al-Amin Al-Taher Ardib, the University's Director, Professor Ahmed Mudawi Musa, the Deputy Director, and Professor Ali Rabah, the Secretary for Scientific Affairs, successfully conducted 5 examination sessions to address the backlog of classes and graduate thousands of students.
The University of Khartoum's administration is working towards resuming in-person classes in several complexes in Khartoum State in the coming period. The first phase will start with the Faculty of Education complex in Omdurman, which has been prepared to welcome preparatory year students in September.
