Developing World Award

KHARTOUM (Sudanow) - Dr. Hind Mamoun Beheiry, has won the International Society of Hypertension’s Developing World Award for this year.
Dr. Beheiry is dean of the Faculty of Nursing Sciences, International University of Africa (IUA), and president of the Sudanese Society of Hypertension (SSH).
The Award is for a researcher in the developing world who has done outstanding work in the region.
Dr. Beheiry is known for her continuous efforts in raising awareness about the risks of high blood pressure including campaigns organized for this purpose in collaboration with her Society and the Faculty of Nursing Sciences, IUA.
The Award will be presented on the occasion of the 27th Scientific Meeting of the ISH (Hypertension Beijing 2018), which will be held in Beijing, China from 20th to 23rd September 2018.
Established in 1966, the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) is committed to promoting and encouraging the advancement of scientific research and knowledge and its application to the prevention and management of heart disease and stroke in hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases around the world.
The Society was registered as a charity in England and Wales in December 2007.
