Canadian Ambassador To Sudan Visits University Of Gezira
30 July, 2021KHARTOUM (Sudanow) - Mr. Adrian Norfolk, the Canadian ambassador to Sudan, arrived at the University of Gezira this morning on a one-day visit during which he will discuss strengthening areas of joint cooperation and developing relations between the two sides.
The Canadian ambassador was accompanied by a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that included its political advisor, Ambassador Abdullah Al-Fadil Al-Mahdi, and Ambassador Ibrahim Bushra Muhammad Ali, Director of International Cooperation.
The Canadian Embassy in Khartoum welcomed the extension of bridges of cooperation with the University of Gezira.
A delegation from the Sudanese Foreign Ministry conveyed to the university administration earlier that the Canadian ambassador welcomed the holding of a joint consultation session to establish and follow up on extended projects.
The visit includes an introductory presentation on the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, a visit to the laboratories of Muhammad Obaid Al Mubarak, the Agricultural Engineering Workshop, the university farm, the National Institute for Research on Oilseed Processing "Nobri", the Abu Haraz farm, and the banana farm in Hantoub, in addition to a visit to the Sudanese-Canadian project in Moroccans and Denigila.
