Sudanese Among World Cup’s Referees
05 April, 2018KHARTOUM (Sudanow) – The world soccer governing body, FIFA, has selected Sudanese international referee Waleed Mohamed Ahmed to go to Russia among umpires who will conduct the 2018 World Cup matches.
Ahmed is one of the elite 63 assistants and 36 referees selected on nationality basis from all six football confederations to hold in order the clashes in the world bitches, a few months from now.
This is the first time a Sudanese national participates in such a grand world gathering.
Born in 1974, Ahmed has participated in conducting more than 50 international football tournaments including World Youth Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Rio de Janeiro Olympics and World Youth Championship.
The 2018 World Cup will be held in Russia from June 14 to July 15.
