Petroleum Detection
08 June, 2018
Osman al-Hahdi, a teacher in Gadarif state, East Sudan, has invented a device for detecting petroleum, gas and minerals deposits hundreds of meters deep down from earth surface.
He said he used the pendulum physics theory to design the device. The idea was applied by ancient Sudanese Kuchite civilization of north Sudan, for exploring water beds and gold under the ground.
Displayed at "Made in Sudan" show last week, the device using simple technology, was experimented in 11 oil fields in Baleela area of western Sudan and proved to be excellent and up to par with expectations. This device, experience showed, could discover the quantity of the petroleum estimates in the area and at what depth the lake lies.
It has been used also to drill 20 water wells in Gadarif area. The device also has the ability to literally sniff drugs and remains of chemicals in fruits and vegetables.
