UNAMID -EID ADHA FESTIVAL

Khartoum, (sudanow.info.sd)- The chief of the United Nations African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) on Thursday expressed hope that Darfuri people would witness peace and love in their region, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
UNAMID Joint Special Representative Ibrahim Gambari extends his sincere and best wishes to the people and the government of Sudan on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, the Feast of Sacrifice, the mission said in a press statement Thursday.
The Eid Al Adha is due to begin on Sunday and would be observed by hundreds of millions of muslims around the globe.
The statement said in his message Mr. Gambari said “On behalf of the UNAMID and myself,I wish you all a blessed Eid. May Allahalmighty accept your good deeds and sacrifices, and may this Eid bring peace, joy, love and success to all Darfuris.”
“May this festive season and holy spirit bring all the people of Darfur together.Eid Mubark to all.”, the statement quoted Gambari as saying.
