Foreign Ministry Accuses Rice, South Sudan Intelligence of spurring UN Security Council to Condemn Sudan

Khartoum, (Sudanow) - The Foreign Ministry has accused the US Representative to the UN Security Council, Dr Susan Rice, of coordinating with the Government of the Republic of South Sudan and the pressure groups in the United States in a concerted campaign to instigate UN Security Council into condemning Khartoum .
Ambassador, Al-Obeid Morawah, Foreign Ministry Spokesman, told SUNA on Saturday that the campaign which was based on fabricated news reports issued by the intelligence service of the Republic of South Sudan, were then adopted by some of the representatives of the international organizations who attended the Security Council's session assigned to discuss the situations in Sudan and the Republic of South Sudan.
The Spokesperson has called on the UN and its different institutions , including the Security Council, to stay neutral and investigate into allegations raised Government of the South and its supporters, using US verification mechanisms and not through news reports that lack credibility .
He called on the Security Council, "if it were genuine about diffusing tension between the two countries, to press the Government of the Republic of South Sudan to withdraw troops Juba has maintained in South Kordofan and the Blue Nile States .
