President Bashir recovering from minor operation

KHARTOUM, (Sudannow.info) - President Omar Bashir is recovering from a minor vocal cord surgical operation he underwent in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, according to Presidential Press Secretary Imad Sidahmed.
Sidahmed was quoted by the official Sudan News Agency (SUNA) as saying the operation was successful and the President would be discharged from the hospital in the coming few hours.
The Presidency said in a press release Monday that Bashir left for Saudi Arabia the same day for meeting King Abdallah of Saudi Arabia and other senior Saudi officials and for undergoing a routine medical check-up as he was suffering a vocal cord inflammation.
