Khartoum,( Sudanow.info) - Brothers and sisters, sons of the Sudan in Saudi Arabia, Peace and blessing of Allah be upon you, We praise Allah the almighty for bringing us in this place the Sudan home (embassy) and we thank Allah for he many blessing bestowed on us and top of which is the blessing of Islam. We praise Allah, the almighty that he has made us Muslim and we thank our lord for making us part of the nation of Prophet Mohammed, peace and blessing of Allah be upon him, the best nation created for mankind.
''And what made me more proud, that I would even walk on the shining star
The fact that the Lord calls me my worshipers and that he has made Prophet Mohamed my prophet''
At the outset we would like to thank the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, may Allah grant him long life and help him in pursing the work of good... he contacted me on the eve of the Adha, to congratulate me and say they were ready and prepared to receive me because he has heard about my illness. We thank the crown prince and his government and the people of kingdom and the various apparatus of the state for their attention and care bestowed on us, even before our arrival here to this blessed land.
As said by my brother the Sudanese ambassador, the operation was small one and from undergoing the medical analysis up to our discharge from the hospital, it all took 24 hours, we praise Allah for his blessing, for the health and for the illness. And we pray to Him that this illness be a compensation because, in our position, there would be many people who would be subject to injustice, people who lost their right, and people who would be raising their hands to Allah complaining against us, and thus we need such test to purify us, and we pray to Allah to bless and accept the sacrifices made by all.
I would also like to assure you about the Sudan. Every day we are moving from good to better, in all our steps, be it in the security, in the economic, development, or investment, praise be to Allah. You have all heard about the completion of the heightening of the Roseis Dam and that work is currently underway in the Setit dam, and the Atbara Dam and Allah willing the coming year will see the completion of those two dams. Each of those dams will add at least one million Feddans of arable lands, irrigated from the dams, besides other projects.
Of course, you have heard that we have signed an agreement with our brothers in South Sudan, which covers all pending issues between the two countries, to the exception of Abyei question. This is because the reality of the proposal submitted for the solution of the problem, was totally rejected on our part, because it will in the end hand over the area of Abyei to the Ngok Dinka and that means transferring the area to the South. Abyei is a Sudanese land and it will remain a Sudanese land, Allah willing. We will not accept its being transformed to a Dinka Ngok area or a land affiliated to South Sudan. This is because the land is originally a land for the Messeryia who had hosted the Dinka because the Messeryia's way of life, because they are nomads, the Dinka are sedentary, thus the court of arbitration gave the Dinka the right to be citizens in this area but the same court did not deprive the Messeria to have the same rights as the Dinka. We say every Messeria individual has the right to take part in the Abyei referendum… and Abyei will remains part of the Sudan and it is now under the sovereignty of the Sudan because it lied within the Sudan borders in line with the 1/1/1956 borders demarcation between the Sudan and South Sudan. This makes Abyei neither part of the Sudan and not a neutral land nor is it part of south Sudan.
The National Assembly in Khartoum ratified the Referendum act for Abyei and no one could change it except the national assembly in Omdurman.
You have also followed the Israel attack on Yarmouk complex. And of course, many people have been wondering as to how the Israeli jetfighters sneaked through the red sea and up to |Khartoum without their being intercepted? But I would like to say that if we want to prevent such an event, then we have two options. One of those options is to pursue the road of normalization with Israel and cooperate with it, politically, economically and security wise. But this, for us, is a red line...Israel is the Zionist enemy and it will remain the enemy and we will call it but the Zionist enemy.
The second option is to possess the potentials to reciprocate the same strike and with the same level, and I would say this is not impossible but it needs lots of efforts from us and huge resource and higher capabilities. And we, Allah willing, seek to possess it, so that we will reciprocate a strike for a strike, Allah willing.
People say why should we have efficient air defences to prevent such an intrusion ,but regrettably Israel now possess advance technologies that are not found any where in the world, they are much advanced than the technologies found in America, because they import American equipment and they upgrade them from their part. We knew that American has planes that are known, as the ghost fighter planes, which could not be detected by the radars thus the air defences, could not handle them at all. Thus the planes that raided Khartoum and struck the complex are F15 and they are known American fighters in use for a long time, but they (the Israelis) added new technologies that no radar could depict them, even the radars installed in Djibouti and the American base and the French bases could not detect these panes.. This is a very superior technology but if they strike at us once again tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, Israel will remain for us the enemy.''
