President Bashir says tension is building beteween north and south, triggering possibility of war

Khartoum, Sudan (sudanow.info.sd)- The President of the Republic , Omar Bashir, on Friday conceded that tension was currently so high between South Sudan and the Republic of Sudan that the possibility of war breaking between the two sides. 


"Yes" the President said when the interviewer asked him whether he believes the tension could lead to war between the north and the south." Yes it is a possibility"


 


"but we will not resort to war unless it is imposed on us… the war was imposed on us in Abyei… in the Blue Nile was imposed to us…  but we will not be the initiators of  war" the president said in a live interview with the Blue Nile, semi- official TV Friday .
