Kiir visits

Khartoum, Sudan (Sudanow)- Sudan on Tuesday said the current visit to Khartoum by South Sudanese head of state will open the doors for overcoming a number of obstacles in the smooth relations between the two countries.
South Sudanese President Salava kiir arrived in Khartoum,Tuesday, on a one day state visit to the sudan at the invitation of his Sudanese counterpart, Omar Al Bashir.
The South Sudanese Presidnet was given a red carpet reception at khartoum airport where the Sudanese foreign Minister, Ali Ahmed Karti, said the visit “will open the doors for good relations between Khartoum and Juba for overcoming the hurdles that have been impedign (smooth) relations between the two countries.”
President Kiir who is heading a high level delegation will immiately enter into close door talks with President Bashir at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum. The two delegations will also hold talks and a joint statement is due at the end of the visit.
Karti said he belived that the atmosphere was now suitable for working out the issues that stands in the way of a smooth relations btween the two countries. He said although the visit would be short and could not discuss in details all the problem, still it would be a good launch in this track.
He said the same meaning were expressed by President Kiir prior to arriving here Tuesday as well as during his brief session with Presidnet Bashir in the VIP Hall in Khartoum
