Sudan Wins Gold in the African Combat Championship in Egypt, Qualifies for World Championship

KHARTOUM (SUDANOW)— The Sudan was crowned as a champion of the African Combat Games for Professionals which was organized in the city of Ismailia, Egypt, on Monday, the Sudan News Agency reported on Tuesday.
The victory was made by Mohamed Abdul Karim (55kg), Hatim Mohamed al-Fatih (60kg) and Al-Sir Mohamed Ahmed (65kg) who won gold medals. Karim received the African Professionals Belt in a remarkable show celebrating the greatest African accomplishment in this championship besides which he also won the silver medal for the professionals who competed over Egypt's trophy.
The Sudan has thus qualified to the world championship which will be organized in Rome, Italy, next April.
The General Assembly of the African Union of the Combat Games Professionals that was held on the sidelines of the Championship, elected Engineer Abdul Monim Mustafa, the Secretary of the Sudan Kung fu Union, as a member in the Executive Bureau of the African and International Union and responsible for East Africa.
The Minister, State Minister and Under-Secretary of the Youth and Sports congratulated the Sudan mission on the historic victory and wished them further victories.
