Sudanow 40th Birthday
14 December, 2016By: Aisha Braima
KHARTOUM (Sudanow.info.sd) - Forty years have now elapsed since Sudanow first saw the light of the day.
Forty years and it is still young and forcing its way in strong wide strides, with clear vision and mission: introduce Sudan and mirror its diversity: succeeding YES, succumbing, YES, but never missing the mark.
The first editors, reporters, writers, sub-editors, technicians and contributors who lit the candle in 1976 under the rule of late President Gaafar Nimiri, could still look with pride at the White Dove sailing and never sleeping in the sand.
To give our young readers an idea about how the magazine has been performing since then, look at this article (The Coming of Zein), as we are talking about Cinema, which was written in November 1978 by Arts Editor Salah Hassan, and Staff Writer Sue Turner. It is still fresh and juicy. Enjoy it.
