Football Legendary Haitham Mustafa

KHARTOUM (Sudanow) - A number of Sudanese social celebrities joined Saturday's mass protests in solidarity with the demonstrators who surrounded the head office of the Sudanese Armed Forces General Command in Khartoum.

 
The celebrities included singers, footballers, journalists and politicians. The photo shows famous retired football legendary striker and Hilal team captain Haitham Mustafa.
 
The protesters carried Haitham on shoulders while chanting the popular nickname fans used to greet him with at the playground "seeda" which means in Arabic “who fully controls the ball”.
 
Haitham played for the Mireekh rival football club for a short time and then coached Shandi team in Nahar Anneel State before he returned back to his home club, Hilal, as assistant coach and then coach of the club's youth team.
